Pylos Combat Agate

Discovered within the tomb of the Griffin Warrior in Pylos, Greece, lies the Pylos Combat Agate - a remarkably intricate seal stone that spans a mere 1.4 inches in width.

This small yet mighty artefact portrays the climactic moments of a battle involving three warriors.

Crafted by skilled hands, the gemstone is adorned with minuscule details that are only discernible through the lens of photomicroscopy, with some measuring a mere half-millimetre in size!

The Griffin Warrior is believed to be a Mycenaean buried around 1500 B.C., left behind a legacy that continues to captivate and intrigue to this day.
