A Rant from 2018

 A jumble of thoughts/a rant:


Dealing with cancer and multiple life-altering surgeries has made me realize life is too short for some of the stupid shit and fucked up individuals that I have to deal with throughout the years!

Mind you, I have been honored to have met and to have known some of the most wonderful, fantastic, giving people while on my journey through this life, BUT!

I think I shall be doing more posts like these. Rants about dumbass shit that bothers me. Though I doubt the people that these rants are referring to will even comprehend the irritation they bring. I can only hope that even one will recognize themselves in my words and maybe make a small change. I've learned that even small changes can make a difference if done enough times. The largest boulder dissolves if enough drops of water fall upon it.

Some people cannot grasp honesty. They can obviously lie to your face, which is easy when they are already living in a fantasy world. But fail to understand when you call them out in a sarcastic manner. Every day is a lie for them, because that is the only way they can deal with the failures of their lives.

One thing I've learned as a host of helpers/volunteers, is that a commitment means nothing to some people. A promise is only valid until the next shiny something catches their eye. May karma find them reaching out without anyone offering a hand.

I've learned that those who have all they want, are the least likely to keep their promises or see the repercussions of their failure to honor their commitments. May karma teach them to want, and may they learn what it means to be in need.

And I think I will cease communication with the next person who starts speaking the tongue of a New Age BS artist. I worry that their grasp on reality is a bit too loose for me. Their minds are so befuddled with shit that nothing can penetrate that fairy-dusted, cosmic, bubbly, heart-strung pile of dumbassery that constitutes their life. Especially if they can't blame a shitload of acid for their feel-good, air-headed spaciness. Though I wonder what the long-term effects of inhaling hair care products does to a person...

My pagan past comes through in times such as these. Let the channel that karma travels be opened and may the scales re-balance themselves swiftly and with righteousness!

One last thing. What the fuck is wrong with some folks? You show them a true fact, with evidence to back it up, yet they cannot see it!!! They can post some dumb shit on here, you can show them repeatedly that it is incorrect/false/untrue/wrong, but they cannot see that. They would rather wallow in a lie. And their friends are the same--ignoring the evidence of true in front of their eyes--while spreading the same BS. Damn, people, do some research. And if someone says you may be wrong and then offers you evidence of that, take the time to read that evidence. If it proves you wrong, delete the dumb shit you posted. If you don't your friends will repost it and,
next thing you know, people will start to believe the lie. Welcome to the modern world!!! I worry about the state of our society because of this.

BUT:
The kids of Parkland give me hope!!! The kids are savvy to the bullshit out there. They know the hows and whys of the internet, and they are less likely to turn into the horrible people their elders have proven to be. And I hope that the kids that spend time on my farm leave here a little more "woke" than they were when they arrived!
